Looking for a dog walk?
We are only 10 minutes away from our destination. Max, our Jack Russell Terrier is getting restless. He knows we aren’t far away and is keen to head out on one of his favourite walks.
The Blithfield Reservoir in Staffordshire is only 35 minutes away from Sutton Coldfield and is a great place to take a walk with your dog – Just ask Max!
The reservoir is a 754 acre body of water, set in the stunning Blithe Valley. It features three colour coded walks that allow you to explore the wildflower meadow, ancient woodland and the reservoir shoreline.

The walks vary in length, but each feature an abundance of wildlife. So whether you would like a short 40 minute stroll, or a longer 90 minute walk, there is plenty to enjoy.
Taking your Dog to Blithfield
Dogs are very welcome at Blithfield Reservoir, but they do ask that you ensure they are kept on a lead. Max loves it there and is always exhausted by the time we leave; sleeping soundly in the car as we head back home.
