A New Season and A New Qualification – Master Photographer

I’m sure you’ll agree that the end of summer is never particularly welcome but, from a dog photography perspective, it signals the start of a new season, which means a changing landscape, gorgeous colours and new photographic opportunities.  Of course, the same is true for every season but the warmth of the colours that burst into life in Autumn make for particularly pleasing dog portraits.

I’m therefore extremely excited to see what we can create over the coming months and will be launching an Autumn special offer within the next 48 hours to encourage as many people as possible to capture beautiful photographs of their dogs in the stunning Sutton Park.

The end of summer also marks the conclusion of a very busy period.  Not only creating beautiful dog portraits but also working towards a brand new photography qualification and with it the title of Master Photographer.

This involved putting together an extensive panel of images to be judged by 5 highly respected fellows of the Master Photographers Association.

I’m delighted to say that I passed and have now achieved my Licentiateship of the Master Photographers Association – one of the hardest qualifications to achieve within the photographic profession.  The judge’s comments were very complimentary with feedback such as “a great set of images to be proud of… simple and beautiful photographs…a lovely panel with colourful environmental backgrounds

A panel of dog photography images for the award of Master PhotographerWhen I first picked up a camera I would certainly not have believed this was possible. I’m genuinely thrilled.  Not only was I judged on my panel of images, I also had to produce an in-depth working profile about my work and business practices, including health and safety considerations, workflows and professional insurances to name just a few.  Consequently, I’m now a fully certified professional photographer and free to use the title John Cooper LMPA – Master Photographer.

I’m extremely conscious of the fact that none of this would have been possible without the support of my clients. Thank you for placing your trust in me and investing in the photographs we create.

As I said, my attention now turns to autumn and taking advantage of the beautiful colours. I can’t wait to create lots of photographic dog portraits that you’ll be proud to display in your home.  I’m also committed to continually developing my craft and will be looking to achieve further advanced qualifications as a demonstration of my commitment to be the best possible photographer I can be for all of my clients.

Thanks for reading and please keep an eye out for that autumn offer!
